• Always air your saree for a few hours after wearing before folding and storing.
  • Store sarees in muslin or cotton cloth bags, never plastic covers.
  • Refold sarees every 3–6 months to avoid permanent crease marks.
  • Use mild detergent and cold water for cotton sarees.
  • Pure silk, zari, organza, and heavy embroidery are best dry-cleaned only.
  • Never wring or scrub handloom fabrics harshly.
  • Dry sarees in shade to protect colours and texture.
  • Keep perfumes and deodorants away from zari and silk.
  • Use low heat while ironing and place a cotton cloth on top.
  • Add neem leaves or silica gel packs in storage during monsoon to prevent moisture damage.
